Research On the Constraints of Green Innovation of Start-Up Internet Companies Based On the Stakeholder Theory

It has an essential need to identify the bottlenecks of green innovation in start-up internet companies through analyzing the background of environment, government and entrepreneurship. Based on the stakeholder theory, the green demand has to satisfy the suppliers, stockholders and customers. This study adopts constraints theory to formulate the direct and indirect reflection diagram of stakeholders. The significant results reveal that profit is the major bottleneck for start-up internet companies to develop the green innovation. In addition, the complexity of bottlenecks is affected by types, divergences, involved range and so on. Hence, the start-up internet companies have to pay more efforts in breaking the bottlenecks from direct and indirect stakeholders in order to develop the green innovation.

Evaluating the value of Food Safety Information in Taiwan

Since the first case of mad cow disease had been identified in England in 1986, not only the beef industry but the food safety has drawn much attention around the world. In fact, the economic losses were estimated 1 billion US dollars in 2005 simply for U.K.’s beef industry. In order to strengthen food safety, food traceability system has been developed in the U.S., European Union, Australia and Japan among others. This system provides customers with safe agricultural products by guaranteeing that these products are produced in correct ways and good environments. In 2004, Taiwan Agriculture and Food Traceability System (TAFT) had been developed in Taiwan. The purposes of this system are to keep tracking of the history of agricultural products.

Recently, some researches indicated the importance of using ICT (information and communication technology) to create values. ICT indeed plays an important role in monitoring, recording, and tracing the process of food production. Therefore, consumers and producers can all be benefited from the information provided by this system. To justify economically the system supplying information for clients, there is a need to develop a conceptual framework to measure information value from food safety. Based upon the applied welfare economics, decision theory, and market signaling theory, a valuation approach will be used to construct a framework with information regarding to food safety.
